Optum is currently seeking dedicated Primary Care Physicians specializing in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to join our dynamic team. As part of the Optum Care Delivery team, you will play an integral role in our vision to make healthcare better for everyone. In this outpatient role, responsibilities include conducting office consults, annual visits, follow-up appointments, and general in-office procedures for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric age groups. Depending on the clinic location, Family Medicine opportunities with OB may also be available. You will be supported by Medical Assistants and Advanced Practice Clinicians, with light and shared call supported by a Triage RN team.
Key responsibilities and scope of the role include:
- Delivering comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient clinic setting
- Performing routine office visits, preventative care, and standard in-office medical procedures
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team focused on diversity, inclusion, and the Quadruple Aim
- Maintaining accurate patient records utilizing electronic medical record systems, with EPIC proficiency preferred
Required qualifications for candidates interested in this position include:
- Unrestricted Washington state physician license, or the ability to obtain prior to your start date
- Current DEA certificate required prior to the start date
- Board eligibility or board certification (BE/BC) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, including welcoming 2024 graduates
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), with EPIC experience preferred
We are proud to offer a competitive annual salary range of $226,000 to $366,000 for full-time employment, with exact pay determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes medical malpractice coverage with a tail policy, generous paid time off and holidays, CME time and financial support, medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, bonus potential, incentive programs, and retirement contributions subject to eligibility requirements.
