Optum is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our growing team at Primary Care Plus, focusing on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In this role, you will experience a balanced approach to medicine with a strong focus on quality over quantity. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive primary care services to adult, family, or geriatric patients
- Seeing a manageable volume of 10 to 16 patients per day with dedicated appointment times
- Collaborating closely with an integrated support team including APRNs, RNs, and Quality Improvement professionals
- Participating in robust transitional care and high-risk outreach programs
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and engaging with regular feedback on quality measures and diagnostic accuracy
We offer a rewarding compensation and benefits structure designed to support your professional and personal life, featuring:
- A competitive guaranteed base salary ranging from $226,000 to $366,000, supplemented by a $30,000 sign-on bonus
- An annual performance bonus of up to 20% based on quality care metrics
- A 4.5-day work week with early Friday departures and no overnight call
- 36 days off annually, encompassing paid time off, CME, and holidays

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Possess an M.D. or D.O. degree
- Hold an active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license
- Possess a valid DEA and CDS license, or have the ability to obtain them
- Be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of clinical experience in adult, family, or geriatric care and a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
