Optum is seeking dedicated and compassionate Full-Time or Part-Time Primary Care Physicians to join our dynamic team. In this outpatient-only role, clinicians enjoy a balanced schedule with a quality-versus-quantity care model. Primary care physicians typically see around 18 to 20 patients per day, featuring 40-minute new patient visits and 20-minute follow-up visits. The position includes scheduled weekly administrative time of approximately 40 minutes baked into each day, and standard office hours run Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no nights, weekends, or mandatory call shifts. Optional urgent care shifts are available for additional pay.
Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive, patient-centered primary care, collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers, and utilizing dedicated support staff so you can focus entirely on practicing at the full scope of your license. You will operate within a value-based care model designed to treat the whole patient physically, mentally, and socially.
Required qualifications for this position include holding a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), or M.B.B.S. degree, along with board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Candidates must possess an active, unrestricted medical license in the appropriate state or the ability to obtain one prior to employment, as well as a valid DEA license.
Preferred qualifications include one or more years of experience in a managed care setting, bilingual Spanish fluency, and we warmly welcome new graduates to apply.
