Optum California is seeking dedicated and compassionate Full-Time or Part-Time Primary Care Physicians to join our growing team in Torrance, CA. As part of Optum, the largest network of medical groups in the country, you will have the opportunity to help transform healthcare nationally while delivering physician-led care locally through a care delivery model that prioritizes quality over quantity.
In this outpatient-only role, physicians typically see between 18 to 20 patients per day with a structured schedule featuring 40-minute new patient visits, 20-minute follow-up visits, and dedicated daily administrative time. Standard office hours run Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no required nights, weekends, or on-call shifts, though optional urgent care shifts are available for additional pay.
Required qualifications for this position include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.), or M.B.B.S degree, board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine, an active and unrestricted California medical license (or the ability to obtain one), and a valid DEA license. Compensation for California residents features a total cash compensation target salary range of $237,361 to $331,688, comprised of a guaranteed base plus an annual performance and quality-based bonus structure.
