Kier Group is currently seeking a talented Principal Engineer to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced civil, structural, and/or geotechnical engineers to contribute to projects across all sectors of the built environment. We have opportunities available in various locations, including Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, and Plymouth.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in leading engineering solutions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-standard projects from conception through to completion. You will apply your technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
We are offering a competitive full-time salary of £85,327 per year based on a standard 40-hour work week, with flexibility on hours available if desired. To support a healthy work-life balance, we offer agile working arrangements with the option to work up to 1 to 2 days per week from home.
Key responsibilities for the Principal Engineer include:
- Providing technical leadership and guidance on civil, structural, and/or geotechnical engineering matters.
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders across all built environment sectors.
- Reviewing and approving design documentation, calculations, and technical reports.
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development.
- Ensuring all project works adhere to relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
