An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Owner – Innovation (Edgewing) to join BAE Systems. While contracted to a BAE Systems Air site, this position is assigned directly to the Edgewing Joint Venture in the Reading area, with work taking place around Artington and Guildford. Please note that a hybrid working policy is in place for this role, offering flexibility, and a financial support package may be available to assist with the assignment depending on specific criteria.
As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in driving innovative solutions and managing product lifecycles within a collaborative team environment. You will be responsible for defining product vision, prioritising development backlogs, and working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-value outcomes. Effective communication and strategic thinking will be essential to align project goals with the overarching objectives of the Edgewing initiative.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Defining and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring user stories are clear, well-defined, and prioritized based on business value.
- Collaborating closely with engineering, design, and project management teams to guide product development from conception through to delivery.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate product roadmaps.
- Monitoring market trends, emerging technologies, and user feedback to continuously improve product offerings and drive innovation.
- Participating in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
The salary for this position is £52,101 per year.
