Hubbell is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join the team in Reading, PA, with operations linked to our broader network. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting quality and manufacturing operations on a plant-wide basis across all assigned raw materials, processes, and product lines.
You will play a vital role in maintaining high operational standards by ensuring strict compliance with internal specifications, quality standards, and established good manufacturing practices. Your day-to-day work will involve monitoring production quality, identifying issues, and maintaining the integrity of our manufacturing workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring adherence to in-house specifications, standards, and good manufacturing practices across production lines
- Identifying and managing the rejection of nonconforming lots to prevent defective products from moving forward
- Conducting thorough defect and root cause analyses to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence
- Performing first article inspections to verify that new or modified parts meet all requirements
- Maintaining oversight of the facility’s Calibration System to ensure measurement accuracy
- Interacting and collaborating with vendors to help reduce variability in incoming materials
- Partnering closely with manufacturing operations to support continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives
