UPMC Central PA is seeking a dedicated Radiation Oncologist to join our well-established and expanding program at the York Hillman Cancer Center, located in Lower Paxton, Dauphin County. This is an exciting opportunity to practice within a growing, multisite health care system that is part of the renowned NCI-designated UPMC Hillman Cancer Center network, which features four radiation centers operating across the region.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to deliver high-quality, advanced cancer treatments. We are looking for a professional who is board-certified or board-eligible in radiation oncology and committed to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care within a supportive clinical environment.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Evaluating new cancer patients and developing individualized radiation treatment plans
- Prescribing and overseeing the administration of radiation therapy
- Conducting regular on-treatment evaluations and managing patient side effects
- Collaborating closely with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, and therapists
- Participating in departmental quality assurance, tumor boards, and clinical meetings
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
