The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a dedicated Radiologist Section Chief of Imaging Informatics for an exciting career opportunity based in Phoenix. In this role, you will join the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) Medical Center, which proudly delivers comprehensive radiology subspecialty services, along with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care to Veterans across central Arizona.
As the Chief of Imaging Informatics, you will play a vital leadership role within the Radiology Service by overseeing enterprise-wide PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) operations. Your daily responsibilities will naturally encompass guiding clinical imaging workflows, ensuring system reliability, and managing the dedicated staff who support these critical operations to maintain high standards of patient care for our nation’s Veterans.
Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Directing and managing enterprise-wide PACS and related imaging informatics infrastructure.
- Supervising, supporting, and mentoring staff dedicated to the imaging informatics operation.
- Collaborating with clinical and administrative leadership to optimize radiology workflows and system integration.
- Maintaining compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, security standards, and VA policies.
- Providing expert clinical and technical guidance on imaging technologies and system upgrades.
