As a Radiology Tech at Medical City Dallas, you will play a vital role in diagnostic imaging, supporting patient care, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality in the radiology department. While specific daily duties may vary based on department needs, typical responsibilities for this role include:
- Performing diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians, ensuring high image quality.
- Preparing patients for procedures by explaining the process, addressing concerns, and positioning them correctly for imaging.
- Operating complex imaging equipment safely and effectively while adhering to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
- Collaborating closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Maintaining accurate patient records, procedure documentation, and equipment logs in compliance with facility standards.
- Ensuring the imaging suite is clean, fully stocked, and prepared for daily operations and emergency procedures.
