Parks Victoria is seeking a dedicated Ranger to join the team on a part-time basis, based out of the Rosebud depot and operating within the Mornington and Mornington Peninsula area. This role offers a great balance of outdoor fieldwork and project work, allowing you to enjoy a healthy work-life balance while being part of a supportive and collaborative team environment.
As a Ranger, you will play a key role in the on-ground management of in-park services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a mix of environmental conservation tasks and general upkeep to ensure public spaces remain safe, accessible, and ecologically healthy for the community.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Executing pest plant and animal management programs to protect local ecosystems and biodiversity.
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on built assets within the parks.
- Undertaking various outdoor activities and operations requiring a level of environmental and service expertise.
- Contributing to diverse on-ground projects as part of a committed team.
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate a strong personal work ethic, a passion for the outdoors and environmental conservation, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Please note that weekend work is required as part of the operational schedule for this role.
