Clean Harbors is currently seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Regional Class A Vac Tanker Driver to join our team in the Thornville and Perry County area. This full-time position offers a stable annual salary of $87,638 and the opportunity to build a rewarding career with an industry leader in environmental and industrial services.
In this regional driving role, you will operate a vacuum tanker truck on routes originating from the Hebron area, traveling throughout Ohio and to surrounding destinations. This position averages approximately 60 hours per week, with drivers expected to be out on the road 1 to 4 nights per week depending on current business needs. You will be compensated with competitive hourly wages that cover all on-duty, non-driving time.
Key responsibilities for the Regional Class A Vac Tanker Driver include:
- Safely operating a Class A commercial motor vehicle and vacuum tanker equipment in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Transporting materials efficiently and securely across regional routes throughout Ohio and surrounding areas.
- Performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Adhering strictly to Clean Harbors’ industry-leading safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Maintaining accurate logs of working hours, travel times, and service records as required.
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route updates, scheduling, and site requirements.
To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for operating tanker equipment.
