As a clinical dietitian at Encompass Health, you will play a crucial role in promoting overall health and wellness through tailored nutrition strategies. Key responsibilities in this role typically include:
- Assessing patients’ individual nutritional needs and medical histories upon admission and throughout their stay.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive dietary and nutrition care plans.
- Instructing and educating patients, as well as their families, on healthy eating habits, therapeutic diets, and long-term nutritional management.
- Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary rehabilitation team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Documenting nutritional interventions, progress notes, and dietary changes accurately in patient medical records.
- Ensuring all clinical nutrition practices comply with relevant regulatory standards, facility policies, and healthcare guidelines.
