As a dietitian at Encompass Health, you will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans tailored to the unique recovery needs of rehabilitation patients. Working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will help support patient rehabilitation outcomes through targeted nutritional interventions.
Your core responsibilities in this role will include the following:
- Assessing patients’ nutritional needs upon admission and throughout their stay
- Developing, modifying, and implementing individualized dietary and nutrition care plans
- Instructing patients and their families on healthy eating habits and therapeutic diets
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting nutritional plans as necessary to support clinical recovery goals
- Documenting patient assessments and dietary interventions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and speech-language pathologists regarding patient swallowing and nutritional requirements
