UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis in the Stratmoor Hills and Colorado Springs area. This is an onsite position operating within our ambulatory surgery center post-anesthesia care unit (EV ASC PACU), working 80 hours per pay period on a day shift schedule.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering direct, high-quality patient care at a proficient level. You will practice in accordance with applicable professional scopes and standards of care, while actively upholding the mission, values, and policies of UCHealth. Ideal candidates are committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, and compassionate support during the critical post-operative recovery phase.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this nursing position include:
- Providing comprehensive, direct patient care in a PACU setting, monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
- Assessing patient status, managing pain, and responding promptly to any post-operative complications or changes in condition.
- Collaborating closely with physicians, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Educating patients and their families regarding post-procedure recovery instructions and discharge guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies.
Compensation for this full-time role is structured as $66,780 per year, with specific hourly rates ranging from $37.06 to $57.44 based on the applicant’s relevant professional experience. As an onsite role at our medical center, remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.
