Ascension is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse Clinical Lead for our Mother-Baby Unit on a full-time, day shift schedule in North Laurel, Prince George’s County. In this vital role, you will help lead and support nursing care standards, foster a collaborative healing environment for new mothers and their newborns, and guide nursing staff with clinical expertise.
Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Providing comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to mothers and babies in the postpartum and nursery settings.
- Assisting with clinical leadership duties, serving as a resource and mentor to floor nurses and healthcare support staff.
- Collaborating with physicians, lactation consultants, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
- Assessing patient needs, monitoring vital recovery signs, and educating families on newborn care and postpartum health.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and upholding compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
