In this role, you will become part of Mercy Fort Smith’s Med Surg Service Line, a dynamic department comprised of specialty units dedicated to caring for patients preparing for or recovering from a wide range of medical and surgical interventions. You will be assigned to a dedicated home unit while also having opportunities for cross-training across specialties, allowing you to build a strong clinical foundation and gain valuable exposure to diverse patient conditions, procedures, and comorbidities.
Key responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Providing direct patient care and monitoring clinical status during the night shift
- Administering oncology treatments and medications safely and accurately
- Collaborating with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and support staff
- Educating patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-intervention recovery
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic health records
