Kansas Spine & Specialty Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Wichita, Sedgwick County, for a full-time night shift opportunity. In this non-exempt position, you will report directly to the Nurse Manager of the Inpatient unit and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within our specialized medical facility.
As an Inpatient RN, you will be responsible for directing and providing high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care specifically tailored to surgical patients. Your daily responsibilities will center on ensuring optimal recovery and patient safety throughout the care continuum.
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans for patients in an inpatient specialty setting
- Monitoring patient vitals and recovery progress closely during the night shift, remaining vigilant for any changes in condition
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, surgical teams, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare staff
- Administering medications and treatments accurately while strictly adhering to hospital policies and clinical protocols
- Educating patients and their families regarding post-operative care, pain management, and discharge expectations
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date electronic health records and documentation of all patient care activities
The annual salary for this full-time position is $51,173. Candidates must possess the appropriate active nursing credentials required to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas, along with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and surgical recovery excellence.
