Key responsibilities for this nursing position typically include:
- Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural anesthesia in the ambulatory PACU setting.
- Monitoring patient vital signs, neurological status, and pain management needs closely during the immediate post-operative phase.
- Collaborating effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, multidisciplinary team members, and support staff to ensure safe and efficient patient throughput.
- Educating patients and their families regarding post-procedure care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential electronic health records in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Adhering strictly to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and established clinical policies within a Level 1 Trauma environment.
