As a Registered Nurse on our Ortho Trauma team, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care, monitoring recovery progress, and working alongside a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals. Our facility is dedicated to transforming care delivery through innovative practices, such as our Enhanced Surgical Recovery program designed to reduce opioid prescriptions and post-surgical readmissions, as well as cutting-edge technology like SPOT Technology for early sepsis detection.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care for orthopedic and trauma patients
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed while closely monitoring patient responses
- Collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare staff to coordinate effective patient treatment plans
- Educating patients and their families on post-treatment care, injury prevention, and rehabilitation strategies
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records in compliance with hospital standards
