In this vital role, you will work under the general supervision of the Respiratory Care Supervisor to deliver high-quality respiratory care services. Your primary focus will be supporting our specialized patient populations, utilizing your clinical expertise to assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring respiratory interventions.
Key responsibilities typically include the following:
- Administering prescribed respiratory therapy treatments and procedures in accordance with physician orders and established departmental protocols.
- Evaluating patient responses to treatments and modifying care plans as necessary under clinical supervision.
- Operating, monitoring, and maintaining specialized respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and optimal performance.
- Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of all patient assessments, treatments, and responses in medical records.
- Providing patient and family education regarding respiratory conditions, equipment use, and ongoing care management.
The compensation for this part-time position is established at an annual rate of $57,718.
