Medrecruit is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Registrar in Intensive Care Medicine for locum cover opportunities at a state-of-the-art private hospital located in the heart of New South Wales, within the Merewether and Newcastle area.
This part-time position involves covering specific shifts on 15 – 16 July 2026, 23 July 2026, 26 July 2026, and 30 July 2026. Shift times consist of a mix of day and night rosters, running from 0800 to 2000 and 2000 to 0800 in a CMO capacity.
As an Intensive Care Medicine Registrar, your core responsibilities will typically involve assessing and managing critically ill patients, monitoring patient progress, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary medical teams, and maintaining thorough clinical documentation within a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key requirements for applicants:
- Must hold current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner
- Demonstrated experience and capability in intensive care medicine settings
- Ability to commit to the specified shift dates and times
Financial details:
- Hourly rate: $180 per hour (note: advertised annual equivalent rate reflects specific scaling)
- Rates are inclusive of superannuation, taxes, and casual loading where applicable
