We are currently seeking a dedicated Relationship Banker for the San Diego North market. This position is open for the entire market, and the specific Financial Center location will be based on business needs. New team members will train at one financial center and then potentially move to another location within a reasonable commuting distance. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week role on the 1st shift, offering an hourly pay range of $25.00 to $27.88 based on experience, education, and skill set, along with benefit eligibility.
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging clients in the lobby to educate and assist with conducting transactions through self-service resources, such as mobile banking, online banking, or ATMs. Key responsibilities include accurately and efficiently processing cash transactions for clients as needed, having deep conversations to gain in-depth knowledge of financial and life priorities, and connecting clients to solutions that meet their financial goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing the bank’s risk culture and striving for operational excellence.
- Building meaningful relationships with clients to help meet their financial needs.
- Following established processes and guidelines in daily activities to do what is right for clients and the bank, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Growing business knowledge and network by partnering with experts in small business, lending, and investments.
- Managing financial center traffic, appointments, and outbound calls effectively while driving the client experience and handling cash responsibilities.
Required qualifications and skills include:
- An enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, intense focus on results, and a high school diploma, GED, secondary school, or equivalent.
- Strong collaboration skills to build and nurture strong relationships and effectively get things done.
- Confidence in identifying solutions for new and existing clients, communicating effectively, and engaging all clients.
- The ability to learn and adapt quickly to new information and technology platforms, applying strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed.
Desired qualifications that may be helpful in this role include prior experience in financial services with knowledge of industry products and solutions, a demonstrated history of successful sales experience, cash handling experience, or a Bachelor’s or business-relevant Associate’s degree such as business management, business administration, or finance.
