Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT to join our healthcare team in the Hollywood Park area of Bexar County. This is a part-time position offering an annual salary of $306,467, reflecting the high value we place on specialized clinical expertise and patient care.
As part of our respiratory care team, you will play a vital role in assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary deficiencies. We are looking for a professional who is committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care and collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Typical responsibilities for this role include:
- Administering aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation support to patients in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient responses to respiratory therapy treatments and adjusting care plans as needed.
- Performing diagnostic procedures, such as arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function testing, to evaluate respiratory status.
- Maintaining, checking, and troubleshooting specialized respiratory equipment to ensure safety and proper operation.
- Educating patients and their families on disease management, proper use of respiratory devices, and ongoing home care strategies.
