As a Respiratory Care Practitioner at Methodist Hospital Texsan, you will play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your primary focus will be to assess, treat, and care for patients experiencing various pulmonary disorders. You will be responsible for the clinical administration of all prescribed respiratory therapies and interventions, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate treatment for every patient under your care.
Key responsibilities and duties in this role typically include:
- Evaluating patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administering respiratory therapy treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Operating, monitoring, and maintaining specialized respiratory equipment such as mechanical ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and aerosol devices.
- Observing and recording patient responses to treatments, noting any changes in clinical status, and reporting critical updates to physicians and nursing staff.
- Educating patients and their families on proper breathing techniques, disease management, and the use of home respiratory equipment.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
This position offers a competitive compensation structure of $276,993 per year, aligned with the PRN nature of the role.
