Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Administering respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Operating and maintaining specialized respiratory equipment, such as ventilators and aerosol generators.
- Monitoring patient progress, recording observations, and communicating changes in patient status to the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educating patients and their families on disease management, breathing exercises, and the proper use of respiratory equipment.
