Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary ailments.
- Administering respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Operating and maintaining specialized medical equipment, such as ventilators and aerosol generators.
- Monitoring patient responses to treatment and modifying care plans in consultation with the medical team.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in patient records.
- Educating patients and their families on disease management, equipment use, and post-treatment care.
