Medical City Dallas is seeking a dedicated and qualified Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN Peds NICU to join our healthcare team in the Grand Prairie and Dallas area. This is a part-time PRN position requiring a minimum of 2 night shifts per week. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients within our specialized units, ensuring high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Key responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Administering respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to pediatric and neonatal patients in the NICU and pediatric units as prescribed by the medical staff.
- Assessing patient responses to treatments and modifying care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting specialized respiratory equipment, ventilators, and monitoring devices.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and oxygenation status closely during therapy and reporting any significant changes.
- Documenting all patient care assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
