UCHealth is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for an exciting full-time opportunity specializing in Acute Care Transplant and Thoracic medicine. Based in the Lakewood and Denver area, specifically operating out of the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO, this role is a vital part of our specialized transplant medicine department.
As an Acute Care Transplant and Thoracic RN, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients undergoing complex medical treatments and surgical procedures. This is a full-time position scheduled for 72 hours per pay period (two weeks), requiring a commitment to a day and night shift rotation. Please note that this is strictly an onsite position with no hybrid or remote work options available.
Compensation for this role is based on your relevant experience, with a pay range reflecting the professional expertise required for specialized inpatient care. Additionally, team members who take on night shifts have the opportunity to earn more through our Night Shift Incentive Program, which pays $1,600 quarterly—totaling up to $6,400 per year—for eligible full-time night shift nurses.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Delivering comprehensive nursing care to acute care, transplant, and thoracic patients in an inpatient setting.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, specialists, and support staff, to coordinate patient treatment plans.
- Monitoring patient vitals, managing complex medication regimens, and documenting clinical notes accurately.
- Educating patients and their families on post-procedure care, recovery expectations, and ongoing health management.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive clinical environment in accordance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
