Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA is seeking an experienced nursing leader for the RN Director Psych position. As the RN Director Psych, you will provide critical leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer, assuming 24/7 responsibility for assigned psychiatric units. You will assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level. In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate patient care, maintaining clinical staff competency, and managing resources effectively while serving as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
Key responsibilities and requirements for this position include:
- Maintaining an active and current registered nurse license in the state of practice
- Demonstrating highly effective interpersonal, communication, leadership, and hospital operational abilities
- Holding an MSN, or an Associate degree from an accredited nursing school combined with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN
- Possessing a minimum of 5 years of psychiatric nursing leadership experience
- Holding required professional licenses, certifications, or registrations, including CPR
