RN House Supervisor, Nursing Administration, Per diem, 7am-7:30pm

PIH Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for a per diem RN House Supervisor role within Nursing Administration. Operating during the 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM shift at our location in Whittier, California, this position carries administrative and clinical responsibility and accountability for patient care services when other management and administrative personnel are off-site.

In this capacity, you will collaborate with nursing leadership to elevate patient care quality, enhance departmental financial performance, and boost overall satisfaction for patients, physicians, and employees. You will function as an on-site resource for hospital-wide problem-solving, decision-making, and safety management, while acting as a clinical role model and expert resource for department staff.

Key responsibilities and required skills include:

• Demonstrating strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities
• Applying sound organizational, prioritizing, and time-management techniques
• Utilizing expert knowledge of clinical nursing practice and management principles
• Maintaining a commitment to exceptional customer service and meeting colleague and patient expectations
• Identifying safety concerns and implementing corrective measures to ensure a secure environment

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Current California RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
• Evidence of continuing education
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 5 years of acute care clinical experience
• Two years of nursing management experience preferred
• Applicable clinical certifications (such as ACLS, NRP, or PALS) preferred
