Geisinger is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for a full-time Advanced Acute Care Neurosciences position located in Danville, Montour County. This role offers an annual salary of $83,332, with a minimum hiring rate of $41.50 per hour and increased rates available for experienced individuals. Eligible candidates may also qualify for a hiring incentive of up to $24,000, relocation assistance, and shift differentials of up to $7 for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
As an Inpatient Registered Nurse within the neurosciences unit (AGP4), you will play a critical role in delivering high-standard patient care. Your daily responsibilities will center on assessing, planning, organizing, performing, and evaluating nursing activities to effectively meet the unique medical and personal needs of each patient. You will also be responsible for promoting positive adaptive responses for both the patient and their family throughout the care journey.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Assessing patient health problems and conditions, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, closely monitoring patient vitals and neurological status, and responding promptly to changes in condition.
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Educating patients and their families on disease management, recovery processes, and post-discharge care instructions to support health and wellness.
- Adhering strictly to clinical policies, safety protocols, and professional nursing standards within an acute care environment.
