Join the RAC as a Roadside Mechanic based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and become part of the trusted team that keeps the UK moving. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional roadside assistance, diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of vehicle faults, and getting our members safely back on the journey.
As a key member of our field-based operations, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve responding to breakdowns promptly, utilizing your technical expertise to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and delivering outstanding customer service during high-stress situations. You will work demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with the added flexibility of optional overtime.
To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or a recognized equivalent
- Bring at least 2 years of hands-on automotive repair experience
- Possess a valid UK driving licence with no excessive penalty points
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first approach
