Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and become part of the team that keeps the UK moving. In this full-time role based in Farringdon, Central London, you will provide vital roadside assistance to motorists, diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults to get our members safely back on their journey.
For this position, candidates are required to hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and possess at least 2 years of relevant hands-on mechanical experience. You should also hold a full, valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points.
Key responsibilities and features of the role include:
- Attending stranded vehicles at the roadside, on motorways, or at members’ homes.
- Using specialist diagnostic equipment and mechanical expertise to identify and fix vehicle issues efficiently.
- Providing exceptional customer service, offering clear and reassuring communication to distressed motorists.
- Starting and finishing your working day directly from your home driveway with demand-led shift patterns.
We offer a market-competitive base salary of £41,600 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable) and a realistic OTE of £66,000 per year, with top-performers having the opportunity to earn significantly more through performance-related bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
