We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to bring life-changing medical care to rural and remote communities across the Far West and Western regions of New South Wales, centered around the Broken Hill area.
In this full-time position, you will have the opportunity to turn your profession into a mission by supporting communities that rely heavily on accessible, high-quality primary healthcare. We understand that work-life balance and lifestyle preferences vary, which is why we offer flexible options to suit your circumstances, including permanent, locum, fly-in fly-out (FIFO), drive-in drive-out (DIDO), or live-in community arrangements.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this rewarding rural practice include:
- Providing comprehensive primary health care services to individuals and families in remote and regional NSW communities.
- Conducting clinical consultations, preventative health assessments, and chronic disease management.
- Responding to emergency medical needs in collaboration with our aeromedical and broader clinical teams.
- Collaborating closely with local nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and participating in community health promotion initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will be a registered medical practitioner with a commitment to delivering exceptional care in unique rural environments. You should possess strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and the adaptability required to thrive outside of traditional metropolitan practice settings.
