Outcomes First Group is seeking a dedicated School Health Practitioner to join the team at Underley Garden School, located near Warton, Carnforth. In this permanent, term-time only role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that every child feels safe, healthy, and supported within a nurturing educational environment. Working hours are 40 hours per week, scheduled from Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:00pm, designed to support a healthy work-life balance. The salary is £25,000 per annum (not pro rata), and a travel allowance is also included as part of the package. Please note that this position is offered on a permanent basis starting in September 2026, and applicants must be based in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available.
As a School Health Practitioner, your core responsibilities will typically involve:
- Providing routine health assessments, medical care, and first aid to students throughout the school day.
- Collaborating closely with teaching staff, safeguarding teams, and external healthcare professionals to support individual student care plans.
- Managing medical records, treatment logs, and health-related documentation in accordance with school policies and privacy standards.
- Administering prescribed medications and offering health education and guidance to students and staff.
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and healthy environment that meets the diverse physical and emotional needs of the school community.
- Communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding any health or medical updates concerning their children.
