Kier Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Thames Water framework team based in East Hyde, Luton (Bedfordshire). This is a full-time position offering 45 hours per week, with some flexibility on hours available if desired, and the potential for remote working alongside occasional travel to the office.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a major project for Thames Water. You will apply your engineering expertise to design, review, and oversee electrical systems and installations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contractors will be essential to ensure project deliverables are met successfully.
Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Developing and reviewing electrical engineering designs, specifications, and technical reports for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
- Ensuring all engineering works comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and resolve technical queries.
- Monitoring site activities and providing electrical engineering support during construction and commissioning phases.
