In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, and implementation of advanced field-programmable gate array solutions within our mission systems. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop complex digital signal processing architectures, perform simulation and verification, and ensure robust hardware-software integration for aerospace and defense applications.
Key responsibilities and professional expectations for this position typically include:
- Designing, developing, and testing FPGA code using industry-standard hardware description languages (such as VHDL or Verilog).
- Performing functional simulation, synthesis, and timing closure to meet rigorous performance requirements.
- Collaborating with hardware and systems engineering teams to define interface specifications and system architecture.
- Conducting thorough debugging and integration testing in laboratory environments.
- Documenting design processes, technical specifications, and verification results in accordance with aerospace and defense standards.
