Crown Cork & Seal USA, a global Fortune 500 packaging manufacturer, has an immediate opening for a Senior Seamer Service Representative within the North American Beverage Division based in Chesterfield, MO. In this vital role, you will serve as a key member of the Technical Services Team, directly supporting various customer-filling operations and ensuring optimal performance.
Position accountabilities include the following:
- Act as the primary interface between the company and the customer to troubleshoot problems associated with the company’s final product and the customer’s filling processes.
- Support customers in key areas such as equipment audits, rework of final filled products, overhauls, and equipment conversions.
- Interact closely with members of the company’s Sales Team to develop strategies, resolve problems, and implement effective solutions to support customer needs.
- Provide comprehensive double-seaming training for customers.
Requirements for this position include the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree or technical school certificate in a mechanically related discipline is considered a plus.
- Working knowledge of beverage can seamers, specifically Angelus, Pneumatic Scale, and Continental equipment.
- Working knowledge of beverage filler equipment, including Crown, H&K, and Cemco systems.
- Proven mechanical skills, including the ability to use gauges, dial calipers, micrometers, and other related precision instruments.
- Strong PC skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, alongside proven presentation abilities to interact clearly with customers at a variety of levels.
- The capability to identify defective or malfunctioning final packaged products, troubleshoot potential causes, and incorporate practical solutions.
- Flexibility to work overtime during the week and on weekends based on customer requirements.
- Ability to travel via car and/or plane up to 70% of the time, which will include some international travel to Canada.
