Senior Software Engineer, iOS

DoorDash is building the world’s most reliable on-demand logistics engine for delivery, powering a dynamic 3-sided marketplace for Consumers, Merchants, and Dashers. As our engineering offices continue to expand globally, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, iOS to join our team in a hybrid capacity reporting to an Engineering Manager. You will help build and maintain a large-scale, 24×7 global infrastructure system and an app used by millions of people that is critical to local entrepreneurs.

In this role, you will be expected to run projects end-to-end and mentor junior to mid-level peers. Whether you are interested in scaling our mobile infrastructure or building awesome product features, your contributions will directly impact our codebase and architecture.

• Work within our engineering teams to build exciting features.
• Improve our codebase through continuous refactoring.
• Solve challenging real-time data transfer and synchronization problems.
• Extend and implement our APIs and implement unit tests.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards of iOS development.

We are excited about you because you bring the following qualifications:

• A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or an equivalent field of study.
• 5+ years of professional industry experience.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools in the full software development lifecycle, including design, code generation, testing, monitoring, and release.
• Expertise in Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Solid familiarity with networking, storage, Cocoapods, systems, and object-oriented programming.
• Proven experience building, launching, and iterating on mobile applications.

Compensation for this role includes a competitive base salary—localized according to work location within ranges such as $130,600 to $285,000 USD depending on the specific level and market—alongside opportunities for equity grants.
