Kier Group is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Technology Design Engineer to join our established Technology Design team. This full-time, permanent position is based out of our Old Trafford, Manchester office, with opportunities for agile working. We offer a competitive and fixed salary of £68,509 per year for a standard 40-hour work week, with some flexibility on hours available for the right candidate.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our Mechanical Electrical and Technology Highways sector. You will be responsible for overseeing and delivering comprehensive technology design solutions, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This position requires someone with a strong technical background who can navigate complex engineering challenges within the highways sector.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Designing and developing innovative technology solutions for highways and infrastructure projects.
- Providing technical leadership, guidance, and support to junior engineers and project team members.
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to define project requirements and scopes.
- Ensuring all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Reviewing technical documentation, drawings, and specifications to maintain quality control across all deliverables.
- Managing project timelines and resources effectively to meet critical milestones and objectives.
