Ramsay Health Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Theatre Operating Department Practitioner to join the team at Woodlands Hospital near Market Harborough. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of £40,993 per year.
As a Senior ODP in our Theatre department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care, embodying our core philosophy of ‘people caring for people’. You will work within modern, well-equipped facilities featuring advanced technology, including laminar airflow systems and state-of-the-art integrated theatre setups, designed to support clinical excellence and ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will typically include:
- Providing high-standard, evidence-based care for patients throughout their perioperative journey.
- Assisting anaesthetists, surgeons, and multi-disciplinary theatre teams during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Ensuring all medical equipment and surgical instruments are safely prepared, checked, and maintained.
- Upholding rigorous clinical governance, health and safety standards, and infection control protocols within the theatre environment.
- Mentoring, supporting, and sharing expertise with junior staff and learners as part of the wider theatre team.
