Skilled Nursing is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Nurse specialising in Mental Health for a short-term contract opportunity located in the Hobart Region, Tasmania. This placement will take place at the Royal Hobart Hospital in Southern Tasmania, covering the dates from 25 May 2026 to 16 August 2026. This is an ideal temporary role for a professional looking to contribute their expertise to an acute hospital environment.
In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care within a mental health unit, supporting patients with complex needs. Your daily responsibilities will naturally involve assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
To be considered for this rewarding contract position, applicants must meet the following essential requirements:
- Current general registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated nursing experience within mental health settings.
- Prior experience working in high dependency and acute care environments.
