Specialist, Systems Engineering

We are seeking a Specialist, Systems Engineering to join our team in Yorba Linda, CA. In this intermediate professional role, you will work under moderate supervision to set objectives for your job area, communicate with internal and external contacts, and help achieve operational targets that impact departmental results.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Conducting trade studies and generating requirements specifications.
• Creating functional block diagrams, use-case diagrams, and design review materials.
• Developing integration and test plans, procedures, and system interfaces.
• Interfacing with mechanical, project, and other engineering disciplines to ensure proper coordination.
• Generating and updating drawings, parts lists, Engineering Orders, wiring lists, diagrams, schematics, and Engineering Change Orders.
• Traveling as needed to support business objectives and working to influence team views and practices.

Qualifications for this position:

• A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 2 years of direct engineering experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Preferred skills include direct experience working with Underwater Acoustics, Telemetry, Communications, Data Recording systems, and/or Radar. Familiarity with DOORS requirements management software, MBSE principles, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are also beneficial.
