Key responsibilities typically associated with this position include:
- Evaluating and diagnosing patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique recovery goals.
- Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and physical and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers on coping strategies and home exercise programs to support ongoing progress.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
