Key responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Evaluating patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific recovery goals.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and exercises to support ongoing rehabilitation.
