Key responsibilities for this role generally include:
- Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans for patients.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers on coping strategies and management techniques.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
