Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with Risk & Fraud operations to monitor real-time fraud patterns and risk metrics, identifying anomalies, and implementing immediate mitigation strategies.
- Translating operational challenges into data problems and serving as the primary analytical bridge between Economic Performance and the APAC Ops and Risk Ops teams.
- Owning the source of truth for Commerce KPIs by building and maintaining automated dashboards that track loss rates, false positives, and payment success rates.
- Leading the analytical response during risk or payment incidents, performing rapid root-cause analysis (RCA), and coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Powering initiatives to improve unit economics by analyzing payment costs, success rates, and user behavior to optimize cash-in and cash-out products.
- Identifying manual gaps in current risk and operations workflows and designing data-driven solutions to automate or streamline processes.
To be successful in this role, candidates will need:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within FinTech, Payments, or Risk teams, alongside a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Economics, Math, or Finance.
- Advanced SQL skills, proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI, and strong capabilities in Excel (with Python or R experience considered a plus).
- The ability to distill complex analytical findings into crisp, actionable insights for operational stakeholders and leadership.
- High mental agility, comfort navigating ambiguity, and the capability to make data-backed decisions under pressure during live incidents.
- A passion for execution with a deep understanding of the human and systemic processes that generate data.
- Strong judgment, clear communication skills, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
