As a Staff Platform Engineer, you will join the team building the very backbone of our platform. This role offers real ownership over critical infrastructure decisions that impact our entire engineering organization. You will operate at a massive scale, managing solutions for hundreds of Kubernetes clusters and millions of cloud resources across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
The work you’ll do:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Develop tools that enable managing hundreds of Kubernetes clusters and millions of cloud resources.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency of platform offerings.
- Bootstrap and lead critical infrastructure initiatives and projects, directly influencing architectural direction and operational excellence.
- Shape engineering culture, set and maintain software engineering standards, and mentor and coach engineers.
The qualifications you need:
- 10+ years of professional experience.
- Real-world experience operating highly available services in Kubernetes.
- Experience with at least one of the major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture.
- Deep expertise in at least one core domain (cloud, Kubernetes, DevEx, security, or observability) with working knowledge of additional domains.
- Track record of independently owning large problem spaces with ambiguity.
- Evidence of improving efficiency or quality across multiple teams.
What Celonis can offer you includes a full-time base salary range of $194,000 to $260,000 USD in New York, along with a comprehensive total compensation package featuring bonuses, equity (RSUs), and benefits such as health, dental, life, 401(k), paid time off, extensive parental leave, and hybrid working options. Actual compensation is determined based on factors including qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
