The Department of Urology at Stanford University invites applications for a board-certified or board-eligible urologist with an M.D. or equivalent degree to join our team as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Clinician Educator (CE) Line. In this role, you will be expected to provide comprehensive care and treat all aspects of adult general urology in a community-based practice setting. While the primary focus is general urology, subspecialty expertise and prior practice experience are considered a plus.
This position is primarily located at Stanford Medicine’s East Bay Urology Clinics in Emeryville and Pleasanton, with potential responsibilities at other Bay Area outreach sites. Additionally, the role involves taking call at Tri-Valley Hospital in Pleasanton.
Key responsibilities and expectations for Clinician Educators include:
- Delivering exceptional clinical care within a community-based urology practice
- Participating in teaching, mentoring, and developing teaching skills for students, residents, and colleagues
- Engaging in administrative duties and/or scholarship aligned with programmatic needs
- Contributing to an inclusive academic environment that supports diverse backgrounds and identities
The expected base pay range for this position is $372,000 to $399,000, determined by faculty rank, years in rank, training, and equivalent experience. This base pay range reflects a good faith estimate and may not include additional components of faculty compensation or departmental incentive programs.
